Coming Soon to A Bookshelf Near You: New Releases in Women's Fiction

Some amazing women’s fiction releases coming your way. Girlfriends like Sarah Pekkanen, Cindy Jones, Ellen Meister and Catlin Crews have new releases out soon and you’ll be hearing about those right here. (Forgive me if I forgot someone.)

Here’s more novels to add to your wish list:
I Think I Love You by Allison Pearson. Out Feb. 8.
Plot in a Nutshell: Girl falls in love with David Cassidy and finally gets to meet him later in life.
Why It’s Buzzworthy :The author wrote the megahit I Don’t Know How She Does It and notoriously finicky NY Times reviewer Michiko Katunani gave it a rave.

Paris Wife by Paula Mclain Out Feb. 22

Plot in Nutshell: Fictionalized love story between Ernest Hemmingway and his wife Hadley

Why It’s Buzzworthy: Being billed as the new Loving Frank

Bent Road by Lori Roy

Plot in A Nutshell: Creepy gothic about family secrets

Why It’s Buzzworthy: Blub from Dennis Lehane, comparisons to Tara French and a rave pre-pub reviews including a starred Kirkus.

The Four Ms. Bradwells by Meg Waite Clayton, March 22

Plot in a Nutshell: Reunion of four female law students as one awaits Senate confirmation for the Supreme Court.

Why It’s Buzzworthy: Waite Clayton’s last novel Wednesday Sisters was a big bookclub hit and the cover is divine.
Kitchen Daugher by Jael McHenry, April 12
Plot in a Nutshell: Haunted kitchen reveals family secrets
Why It's Buzzworthy:
Blurbs from several notable authors like Carolyn Parhurst, Lisa Genova, as well as our very own Sarah Pekkanan.
What books are you anxiously waiting for? We'd love to hear.

  3. I don't think it's a big secret that the contributors to the GIRLFRIENDS BOOK CLUB are my rock stars! So I'll give shameless shout outs to Melissa Senate's THE LOVE GODDESS' COOKING SCHOOL (I recently finished and loved!), Marilyn Brant's FRIDAY MORNINGS AT NINE (I just received an autographed copy I am most eager to devour) and Ellen Meister's upcoming THE OTHER LIFE (which if you haven't pre-ordered, do so!!)

  6. Having had the chance to read that advance copy of Cindy Jones' MY JANE AUSTEN SUMMER, I'm onto the next good read which looks like Sarah Pekkanen's SKIPPING A BEAT and Juliette Fay's DEEP DOWN TRUE.

  7. Looking forward to all the Girlfriends upcoming releases! May every one be a grand success! Dare I do it?? Okay, I will. BEAUTIFUL DISASTER, January release from Penguin Group. The Southern set novel asks this of the reader: What would you risk for a love that is greater than honor or friendship or the passing of time?

The DIVINE cover for THE FOUR MS. BRADWELLS, btw, is designed by Georgia Feldman.
