Saturday Book Giveaway: My Jane Austen Summer

Speaking of Operators:  three sons helped launch my novel.
Operators are standing by to enter your name into a random drawing to receive a copy of My Jane Austen Summer.  And depending on how my day is going: sun shining, children in one piece, politicians civil--we might send copies to two lucky winners!

And not only that--we'll throw in a package of Lily Berry's Pink Rose Tea, a green tea with roses and berries created by Bingley's Teas, Ltd. to enhance the reader's connection with the story (or lower your blood pressure if your Saturday needs civilizing).  

You should read My Jane Austen Summer if:



  1. You ever wanted to live in a novel,
  2. You, or someone you know, struggles to be the protagonist in their own life,
  3. You are curious to know how Jane Austen sustains her wild popularity from the grave

Story:  
Lily is caught in a cycle of loss:  her mother died of cancer, her boyfriend left her for an earth mother, and she’s been fired from her job for reading Jane Austen novels when she should have been routing payroll tax deposits.  When the opportunity arises to travel to England to re-enact Mansfield Park, she thinks she may finally realize her dream of living in a novel.  But even in England, where Lily is immersed in a literary festival so rich it seems Jane Austen is present, her problems find her.  Lily must summon her resources and confront painful truths before she is demoted to the role of secondary character in her own life.

    I am a huge fan of Jane Austen and love the spin off books. It is always intersting to see just where the the various authors take the charaters. I have been ill with strep throat and a fever so I would love to win and have something to cheer me up. Thank you for the giveaway!

    Sounds like a fun read!

    My day is going like a typical Sat so far... In bed with my iPad, with the dog asleep on my legs, waiting for the hubs to wake up. I play around on my iPad while he sleeps in on the weekends. Very lazy. :)

    I've heard so many great things about this book! I'm heavy into NaNoWriMo and so far, keeping my head above water. Come December, I'll be putting the laptop aside and devouring every book I can get my hands on. :)
