When Nick asks for a second chance, Annie is torn between her husband and the man she might have been meant to marry.

I love this style of story. And I get to pass it to my daughter in law when I'm finished with it. So it's a 2 for 1 win.

ReplyDeleteWho doesn't fantasize about the old boyfriend coming back on his knees? A boyfriend broke up with me and tried to come back 9 months later, but he didn't do it right. He lived in Brussels. I was in Memphis. He told me I had to tell him right away if I would see him because there was only one cheap ticket left on the flight that he was taking FOR WORK.
ReplyDeleteI have often thought of opening a consulting business for men who want to get their girlfriends back. I would teach them the right thing to say. It's not, "I need to be able to get a cheap ticket with someone else's money." It's, "I made the biggest mistake of my life when I broke up with you. I don't know how I could have been so stupid. My life has been nothing but misery since then. I know I don't deserve a second chance," and so on and so on.
That would work better than the appeal to the pocketbook, wouldn't it?
Sounds like a great read!
